Death is dear.

The earth is four billion years old. It is expected to exist for another five billion years. Five billion years is a jiffy in the cosmic space. A jiffy is like the duration of a heartbeat.  The earth will disappear in a jiffy in the cosmic space. So are the suns, stars and the galaxies. They will disappear in a jiffy in the cosmic space. In the cycle of creation and destruction, the celestial bodies encompassing a vast range of sizes and compositions, appear and disappear like sparks flying out and disappearing when you light a matchstick. This is extreme impermanence. Everything is subject to extreme impermanence.

Where is the individual in the extant of the cosmic space? The individual’s  bloated mind thinks it is big, powerful and all it does it to kidnap the individual from the reality. Most individuals are wrapped up in their out-of-control minds and they think that’s all there is. The fundamental truth is that everything is constantly appearing and disappearing and nothing lasts. Life is spent on accumulating wealth and building fortified houses and walls for protection. They will eventually disappear in a jiffy in the cosmic space. This is death.

Death is happening all around. It is happening every moment. It is ignorance to assume that death strikes once in a lifetime. Death is happening every moment.

We are living in the ocean of death. We take this ocean for granted and don’t recognise death. A fish lives in water and the takes the water for granted. It is not even aware of the water surrounding it. This is an opportunity to soak in death. You need not search for the ocean of death to soak in it.  You are already living in it. It is about recognising and soaking in it with awareness. When you soak for the very first time, you will die. Then, you will rise again to live. When you rise again, you will not be the individual anymore. You will be a nobody. The opportunity to soak in the ocean of death is available to the one who wants to become a nobody. In the nobody, you will realise yourself. This is the death of the individual. This will require courage. The courage will burn every fear of death. Death will be dearer. This is how I died. When you come closer to me, you will enjoy death, and you rise again. In this death alone, you will recognise the oneness.
